The sea cable route is nearly 8.9 kilometres long, thought to be the longest in the world, with one end in An Thới Town and the other in Hòn Thơm Island, the largest in the An Thới island cluster to the south in Phú Quốc. The maximum speed of the cable car system can reach 8.5 metre per second so the total time from the start to the final station is just 15 minutes. The sao la is a critically endangered creature that was the eighth new large mammal species to be discovered in the 20th century. The selection of the park in the central province of Thừa Thiên-Huế as the breeding site was made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in technical partnership with the Saola Working Group. The centre is scheduled to be built by the end of this year or early next year, according to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Information about the breeding centre was released on the occasion of the second World Saola Day, observed on July 9 every year. Hanoi-based Doji Group in the morning quoted SJC-branded gold at VND41.5 million per tael for buying and VND42.3 million per tael for selling, up by VND700,000 against Wednesday. The group widened the gap between the buying and selling prices to VND800,000 for each tael. According to the scheme, Phu Quoc City would cover more than 575 square kilometers and have a population of 177,540 people. The city would have two wards—Duong Dong and An Thoi—and six communes: Ham Ninh, Duong To, Ganh Dau, Bai Tho, Cua Duong and Cua Can. The current Hon Thom Commune would be merged with An Thoi Town to establish An Thoi Ward.
