Woods had reportedly hoped to play in the tournament, which kicks on this coming week at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, on Friday — the last day for him to commit to the Wells Fargo Championship — a tournament he had only one once, back in 2007 — Woods opted to pass.
