Bachelor of Design (Digital Media) graduate Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Tam said she initially intended to create a children’s book to honor Vietnamese culture but then realized a game could be something that could gather all family members. Downtown condo development ban may cause monopoly By Le Anh An aerial view of the downtown area of HCMC - PHOTO: THANH HOA HCMC - The HCMC government’s decision to stop licensing new multistorey apartment building projects in Districts 1 and 3 until 2020 could result in a monopoly among the few investors in projects currently under construction, paving the way for them to raise the prices of apartments, according to the HCMC Real Estate Association (HoREA). HCMC currently has more than 8,500 high-end apartments, accounting for 30% of the total, while low-cost ones make up only 24.7%, with nearly 7,000 units. This means that there is an imbalance in HCMC’s housing market. A balanced housing market should have the largest proportion of low-end apartments and the smallest proportion of apartments in the high-end segment. Investment bank Wedbush says that the recent Apple stock sell-off creates a "golden buying opportunity" for investors, and predicts that Apple still has a $3 trillion valuation on the horizon. In a note to investors seen by AppleInsider , lead Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives says the bank has added Apple to its "Best Ideas List." He says that, in the wake of a historic December quarter for Apple, Wall Street has been expecting modest cuts to 2021 iPhone forecasts. Despite that, the analyst says recent checks in Asia are continuing to come in bullish. He continues to predict that Apple could ship upwards of 230 million iPhone units during the year. That number is higher than the current Wall Street consensus of 220 million units. Based on the current trajectory, Ives says that Apple could sell north of 240 million units — with an "eye popping" 250 million units possibly in the cards. HA NOI (VNS) — Chinese stickers containing phthalates – a group of toxic chemicals believed to be harmful to human health – are still being sold by street vendors and toy stores near primary schools in Ha Noi despite warnings from local agencies. The sticks are priced at VND3,000-20,000 (10-90 cents) per set. According to scientists, phthalates are additives that give plastics like polyvinyl chloride (PVC) properties such as flexibility and stress resistance. Six phthalates are commonly used, but one type known as DEHP has received the most regulatory and scientific attention due to evidence demonstrating its testosterone-blocking potential in males. Phthalates have also been linked to early puberty in girls.
