President Donald Trump did not have much time to watch the impeachment hearings on Wednesday, but he did share one of his favorite moments on Thursday, after catching up on the news. On Twitter, Trump referred to Rep. John Ratcliffe’s moment when he asked the two hearing witnesses Ambassador Bill Taylor and Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent whether they believed Trump’s actions were impeachable. THANK YOU, Congressman John Ratcliffe, for exposing the ridiculousness of this entire inquiry!#ImpeachmentHearings pic.twitter.com/Z3LcdLsYIH — Nick Adams (@NickAdamsinUSA) November 14, 2019 “Rep. Ratcliffe asked the two ‘star’ witnesses, ‘Where is the impeachable event in that call?’ Both stared straight ahead with a blank look on their face, remained silent, & were unable to answer the question,” Trump wrote. The president said the moment proved Democrats had lost their case for impeachment. “That would be the end of a case … [Read more...] about Donald Trump Shares Favorite Moment of Impeachment Testimony

Photo: Getty Images Before and after assuming presidential office, Donald Trump’s general relationship with musicians has been, to put it lightly, fraught with a side of Charlie Day conspiracy-board panic. Barely anybody wanted to perform at his inauguration, and the ones who did were more along the lines of whos than theys, making it easy to mock the new president for his lack of respect within the Top 100 community. But lest we forget, Trump’s long road to the White House was rife with popular musicians giving him the cold shoulder — throughout his journey of rallies, campaign stops, and even more rallies, ten musicians publicly demanded Trump disassociate himself with their work, which we were reminded of this week when Steven Tyler sent him yet another cease and desist warning for his repeated public love of Aerosmith. Take a stroll down (a chronological) memory lane of all the times that musicians got mad at Trump because he tried to use their songs for … [Read more...] about A Brief History of Musicians Saying ‘Hell No’ to Donald Trump’s Using Their Songs
Donald Trump is known to speak his mind, in the White House, and on Twitter too. From twiplomacy (diplomacy on Twitter) to friendly overtures towards North Korea, and a word of advice for India on trade norms, the American president has tweeted it all. Tuesday morning saw Trump at his Twitter(y) best as he again, shared his angst. And at the receiving end this time was none other than the Google top boss, Sundar Pichai. In a series of tweets, he took barbs at the tech giant for its alleged ties to the tampering in 2016 US presidential elections, and China’s military. Calling out Google by name, he recalled how the India-born Pichai - whom he tagged by name in his tweets - had spent time “in the Oval Office working very hard to explain how much he liked me…” The meeting with Pichai that he referred to seemed to be an earlier interaction from 2016 following Trump’s entry in the White House. In typical Trump-speak, he trolled the Google top boss, and said … [Read more...] about Donald Trump goes on a Twitter rant – this time it’s Sundar Pichai at the receiving end!
The Bolsonaros are known as Trumps of the Tropics. And given how deeply popular Donald Trump is in his own mind, he obviously resents the comparison. Indeed, when asked a specific question over the similarities between the Presidents of Brazil and the US, then White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “There is only one Donald Trump.” Third time lucky Michelle Bolsonaro and Melania Trump are both First Ladies. But even more interestingly, both are the third wives of Jair and Donald respectively. Nepotism rocks Jair and Donald have both been criticised for nepotism in office. While the former handed out-of-turn promotions to Michelle and tripled her salary — it prompted the Supreme Court to do a ‘Captain Obvious’ rendition and say nepotism is illegal — Donald has also promoted daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner to key positions. Presidential race But the most troubling aspect of their similarities lies in their racist … [Read more...] about Racist remarks, third wives: Many similarities between Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro
WASHINGTON: The top US diplomat in Ukraine, testifying in the first televised hearing of the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, linked the president on Wednesday more directly to a pressure campaign on Ukraine for investigations of Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden and his son that would benefit him politically. That was the first of three key takeaways from the hearing that will likely come up again in future proceedings. Live TV AMBASSADOR TAYLOR REVEALS CALL BETWEEN TRUMP AND SONDLAND: William Taylor, acting ambassador to Ukraine, said a member of his staff overheard a July 26 phone call between Trump and Gordon Sondland in which the Republican president asked about those investigations, and Sondland told him that the Ukrainians were ready to proceed. Following the call - which occurred a day after Trump had asked Ukraine`s president during a phone call to conduct the investigations - the staff member asked Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European … [Read more...] about Three key takeaways from US President Donald Trump’s impeachment hearing
Turkey's leader became a problematic White House guest on Wednesday — denying the Armenian Genocide ever occurred, demanding the U.S. hand over an Islamic cleric he regards as a terrorist coup-plotter, and complaining that America's Kurdish allies in northern Syria are terrorists as well. President Donald Trump stood alongside Recep Tayyip Erdogan and listened during a joint press conference in the East Room, with five hawkish Republican senators - including some critical of Turkey - sitting a few yards away. In a final slap, Erdogan said he had rejected a famous letter from Trump urging him not to invade Syria, returning it to the president's envoy. it had initially been reported that Erdogan threw it in the trash.
