Behavior change needed to fight child molestation The Saigon Times Daily The child molestation case against the former deputy chief prosecutor of Danang City, Nguyen Huu Linh, has attracted a great deal of media attention. It serves as a litmus test for how the judiciary goes after an issue which often goes silent as parents or guardians do not want their molested kids to be further traumatized. At first, the parents of the child allegedly molested in an apartment elevator by a middle-aged man chose to let it go after he misidentified himself. But thanks to elevator surveillance video footage, he was identified as Nguyen Huu Linh, ex-deputy chief of the Danang City prosecution bureau. However, the child’s family still insisted on not bringing the case to court because they do not want to hurt the under-age girl any more.
