A Florida woman was arrested last week after being accused of lashing out at a taxi driver outside Disney's Hollywood Studios because he couldn't give her a cigarette. Ellen Frances McMillion, 53, of Hidden Lake Drive in Brandon, was detained by deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office at approximately 9:50 p.m. on September 5 on multiple charges—including battery on a law enforcement officer and disorderly intoxication. A police arrest affidavit published by the county clerk said McMillion's actions "caused a public disturbance" and she has since been banned from all Walt Disney World properties for life. A Disney spokeswoman told The Orlando Sentinel: "We have no tolerance for violence." A DISNEY World worker who brought condoms and a pink dress to rape an eight-year-old girl has been jailed for 20 years. Frederick M. Pohl Jr., 41, mistakenly thought he was chatting online with the young girl and her father, but he was actually speaking to an undercover agent. In one of his first conversations with what he thought was the girl's father, Pohl said: “I like young girls ... I would love someone as young as your daughters age," according to the Orlando Sentinel. He had sent explicit photos of himself and agreed to meet the eight-year-old girl at a hotel in Orlando, Florida. But when he arrived at the hotel in May - with "condoms and a pink dress suitable for a young child to wear" - federal agents arrested him. Everett Michael Kondus has been in and out of hospital for the last 10 months as he bravely fought B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, having chemotherapy every seven to 10 days. The youngster, who lives with his single mum Tierra Lyndell Kondus, 29, and elder sister, Addyson, seven, in Tennessee, USA, was filmed back in April after a chemotherapy session, thanking God for his 'good' health and his ability to play with toys. K Madhavan to head Star and Disney India’s TV business
MUMBAI: Star and Disney India has divided outgoing country manager Sanjay Gupta’s duties into two separate verticals - TV and digital (Hotstar). Hotstar leadership will now directly report into Under Shankar, chairman, Star and Disney India and president of The Walt Disney Company, APAC, whereas TV business will report to K Madhavan, head of company regional language media network. In an internal memo, accessed by ET, Shankar wrote that December 27th will be Gupta’s last working day in the company. “In order to create minimum disruption to the business, I have decided K Madhavan, who has built out regional entertainment business, will now look after all our TV businesses across markets and verticals,” Shankar wrote.
