VNPT to help transform HCMC into ’smart city’

The HCM City People’s Committee signed an agreement on Thursday with Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to develop HCM City into a smart city by 2025, with an eye towards 2030. — Photo Thanh Vũ Viet Nam News HCM CITY— The HCM City People’s Committee on Thursday signed an agreement with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group to develop HCM City into a smart city by 2025. VNPT will provide information and communications technology consultancy for the project. It will work with strategic partners to study plans for the project and offer concrete solutions, particularly with respect to the traffic system, healthcare services, education, public security, wastewater, environment, energy, and construction. It will be responsible for building the ICT infrastructure for the smart city.
