Remembering Vietnam’s late President Ho Chi Minh in foreign countries
Since a 1987 UNESCO resolution calling for member states to commemorate the centenary of the birth of late President Ho Chi Minh, many countries have dedicated statues, museums, parks and streets in honor of Vietnam’s 'great man of culture.' The resolution was promulgated at the 24th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris in 1987, three years before the centenary of the late president’s birth. Sin Kakada tried his luck again in the eighth minute, sending the ball over the goal one more time. Park Hang Seo’s men were calm enough to neutralize most of the early attacks from their Cambodian opponents. Four minutes after Cambodia’s Mao Piseth was shown a yellow card over a dangerous tackle against Nguyen Trong Hoang, forward Ha Duc Chinh sent a high ball from the right flank to Nguyen Tien Linh in the box. Linh headed in neatly to put Vietnam in the lead on 20 minutes. The same … [Read more...] about Vietnam whip Cambodia to take on Indonesia in SEA Games men’s football finale
