Bubba Clem, host of shock jock radio show “Bubba the Love Sponge,” is firing back at critics of Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Audio clips of Carlson’s appearances on the shock jock’s show from 2006 to 2011 were released over the past couple days by liberal media watchdog Media Matters . Clem defended Carlson in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece on Wednesday, arguing that people have become too sensitive and can’t separate comedy from the actual views of comedians. “I host a comedy-driven radio show for guys. Until Sunday, no one confused it with something that should be taken seriously,” Clem wrote. “ … We are rude, sometimes profane.” Clem wrote that Carlson “adopted an edgy comic persona” and said really “naughty things” for laughs. He noted that the roughly 100 episodes on which Carlson was a guest were never a secret. “Comedy breaks taboo subjects that release the unspoken into the air … [Read more...] about ‘Bubba the Love Sponge’ defends Tucker Carlson’s remarks on his show
Tucker carlson news
Fox News' Tucker Carlson has attacked famous people who have recently admitted to wearing blackface — specifically liberal people — and pointed out that the action is nothing short of hypocrisy. What did he say? In an op-ed on Fox News, which was adapted from Carlson's Thursday night monologue on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," the host said that hypocrisy is at the root of modern liberalism. Carlson wrote, "Judging by the news recently, it seems like an awful lot of people are showing up at parties dressed in costumes designed to look like members of another race. Blackface suddenly seems ubiquitous. But is it?"He goes on to note that his readers probably have not dressed up in blackface, nor do they likely know anyone personally who has. "Now, ask yourself what percentage of high-profile progressives have worn blackface in public?" he continued, and pointed to the latest Virginia scandal involving Democrats who have dressed in blackface in the past. "Let's see: Two of the … [Read more...] about Tucker Carlson rips ‘elite left’ for wearing blackface: ‘Modern liberalism is all about hypocrisy’
Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson believes American women have come as close as possible to the feminist movement's goal of equality with men, with an important exception: Stormy Daniels. 'We're probably not ever going to fully get to equality of anything,' Carlson told DailyMail.com this week in Washington. 'But as close as you can get? We probably have.' But Daniels, he says, has become a 'pawn' of anti-Trump attorney Michael Avenatti – making her less empowered than other women. Carlson's second book, 'Ship of Fools: How a Selfish Ruling Class Is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution,' hit stores this month. He argues that 'professional feminists' who can't accept victory and move on 'might be the single unhappiest group in America.' 'The overwhelming majority of college graduates and high school graduates are women. And the female suicide rate is a fraction of the male suicide rate. And the imprisonment rate is a tiny fraction,' he said in his Fox studio. 'You … [Read more...] about Tucker Carlson: women already have equality (except for ‘pawn’ Stormy)
Fox News host Tucker Carlson said he was "caught" by a liberal media watchdog group that on Sunday published audio of him making disparaging and perverse comments about young girls and women years ago. "Media Matters caught me saying something naughty on a radio show more than a decade ago," Carlson, 49, said. "Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this: I'm on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch. Anyone who disagrees with my views is welcome to come on and explain why." pic.twitter.com/rZdchBXrG2— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) March 11, 2019 Media Matters published excerpts from between 2006 and 2011 of Carlson calling in to to the shock jock radio program of Bubba the Love Sponge. Among the comments he made, Carlson said he would "love" the idea of underage girls experimenting sexually at his daughter's boarding school if it didn't involve her. He appeared to defend statutory rape, made … [Read more...] about Tucker Carlson ‘caught’ making nasty remarks about women on radio
Fox News host Tucker Carlson found himself in hot water late Sunday after Media Matters, the far-left progressive "media watchdog" that routinely targets Fox News, unearthed offensive comments Carlson made about women and child rape on a radio show between 2006 and 2011. Carlson quickly responded to the growing online outrage — and he did not capitulate. What are the details? Media Matters highlighted 27 separate instances in which Carlson appeared on the "Bubba The Love Sponge" radio show, "a popular shock jock radio program where he spoke with the hosts about a variety of cultural and political topics in sometimes vulgar terms." More from Media Matters: During those conversations, Carlson diminished the actions of Warren Jeffs, then on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list for his involvement in arranging illegal marriages between adults and underage girls, talked about sex and young girls, and defended statutory rape. Carlson, who was hired by Fox News in 2009, … [Read more...] about Far-left unearths old remarks from Tucker Carlson. Carlson’s response only makes the left angrier.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson is facing new pressure after transcriptions of past radio appearances were published in which he compared women to "dogs" and described them as "extremely primitive." The radio interview transcriptions were published by Media Matters for America, a liberal-leaning nonprofit group that monitors politically conservative media. Carlson made the comments between 2006 and 2011, when he called into shock-jock radio program "Bubba the Love Sponge," the group said. The comments sparked new calls for an advertising boycott of Carlson's show. The controversy comes only months after his show lost sponsors following the conservative host's comments about immigrants making the U.S. "poorer and dirtier." At the time, advertisers including personal finance website NerdWallet and Pacific Life insurance pulled spots from the show.Carlson, who defended his track record in a tweet, said he wouldn't give the "usual ritual contrition" after his previous comments about … [Read more...] about Here’s what Tucker Carlson said that’s sparking calls for an ad boycott
