Trucks will be banned from certain APEC routes in central Đà Nẵng City in November. – VNA/VNS Photo Văn Sơn Viet Nam News ĐÀ NẴNG — Trucks, tipper lorries and lorries with trailers will not be allowed on certain roads in central Đà Nẵng City for the duration of the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation ( APEC ) meetings in November. According to the latest traffic plan for the APEC meetings issued by the municipal People’s Committee on Saturday, tipper lorries will be banned from all routes in the city from November 3-12. The APEC Economic Leaders’ Week is scheduled on November 6-11 in the city. However, they will be allowed to use certain roads on the outskirts of the city, including routes linking Hải Vân tunnel to Túy Loan, some sections of the National Highway 14B, National Highway 1 and the Đà Nẵng-Quảng Ngãi Expressway. Along a section of Hồng (Red) River dyke running through Ba Vì District, overloaded vehicles pound the road surface, causing cracks, depressions and potholes.
