HA NOI — National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong asked the election council of the 13th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-16 term to co-ordinate with relevant offices and carefully examine legal documents to ensure a fair election to be held on May 22. Trong, who is also the Party General Secretary, made the request at the first meeting of the election council yesterday where a range of issues were discussed. He urged official responsible for organising the election to gain a good understanding of the regulations and make sure elections are carried out properly and punctually.
