The information was revealed by Việt Nam Telecommunications Authority until mid-March. Decree 49, issued last year, stipulates that by April 24, 2018, all mobile subscriptions activated before April 24, 2017, have to be registered with accurate information of owners, including name, identification/passport number and a profile picture. If they fail to register, the providers will block incoming calls after 15 days and stop providing services in the next 15 days. The city’s Centre for Preventive Medicine could meet only one-thirtieth of the total demand for 91,000 vaccination doses. The registration process on the centre’s website at ytdphanoi.gov.vn -- during the third phase of the serviced vaccination programme this year -- started at 9am on Thursday. The system was soon overloaded with more than 91,000 logins, and automatically shut down after one hour and 28 minutes of recording registrations for the available 3,080 doses. The vaccines comprised 1,880 doses held over from the second phase last month and 1,200 new doses. Those who failed to register their children for the vaccination this time will have to wait for the next registration period.
