Meeting marks 50 years of diplomatic ties with Indonesia (13-01-2006) HA NOI — A meeting in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Indonesia was held in Ha Noi yesterday. Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phu Binh said that over the past 50 years, the friendship and co-operation created and cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh and President Soekarno have developed ties in politics, the economy, trade, investment, public health, education, culture and tourism. The two countries have enhanced their positive relations in the framework of regional and international organisations including ASEAN, ASEM and APEC. Binh said Viet Nam has always attached great importance to friendship and co-operation in all fields with Indonesia for mutual benefits. Stamp set marks 50 years of late President’s testament The Saigon Times Daily The stamp and miniature sheet - PHOTO: VNA HCMC - The Ministry of Information and Communications and Vietnam Post Corporation launched a set of stamps at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi on August 27 to mark the 50-year implementation of late President Ho Chi Minh’s testament. The set consists of a single stamp and a miniature sheet designed by painter Tran The Vinh. The single stamp features late President Ho Chi Minh working at the desk with his stilt house on the background.
