The move comes in the wake of the death of a primary school student and injury of another when a teacher was reversing her car, with the registration number 26A-054.29, in Vân Hồ Primary School in the northern mountainous province of Sơn La last Thursday. Lê Minh Nghĩa, director of Phú Hà Company – the project investor – told online newspaper baotintuc.vn that “all parts of the project had been completed after two years of construction. “The bridge will be ready for traffic on July 31,” Nghĩa said. Toll fee collection is scheduled to start from October. A toll station will be located at Phú Cường Commune in Ba Vì District, with fees starting from VNĐ35,000 (US$1.5) per car for a period of 20 years. The Việt Trì-Ba Vì Bridge is a link between National Highway 32 and National Highway 32C with a total investment of VNĐ1.46 trillion (US$63.4 million). The municipal People’s Committee recently proposed a draft regulation on the issue to the Ministry of Security. However, its feasibility has come under question. Hoàng Hà of Đại Nam Law Firm in Hà Nội told Vietnam News Agency that at present, there were no regulations asking a citizen to open a new bank account when buying and registering a car. The load capacity in the northern region reached 17,063MW, while the total consumption was almost 358.6 million kWh. Only in one day, the load capacity increased by 398 MW, while the total consumption increased by 16.6 million kWh. Prior to this heatwave, the north’s electricity consumption reached peak in June 22, with load capacity reached 16,004MW and power consumption at 339 million kWh.
