Lê Minh Nghĩa, director of Phú Hà Company – the project investor – told online newspaper baotintuc.vn that “all parts of the project had been completed after two years of construction. “The bridge will be ready for traffic on July 31,” Nghĩa said. Toll fee collection is scheduled to start from October. A toll station will be located at Phú Cường Commune in Ba Vì District, with fees starting from VNĐ35,000 (US$1.5) per car for a period of 20 years. The load capacity in the northern region reached 17,063MW, while the total consumption was almost 358.6 million kWh. Only in one day, the load capacity increased by 398 MW, while the total consumption increased by 16.6 million kWh. Le Van Pha, deputy general director of Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO), the project developer, said that the project is 90% complete. However, the passenger management software, surveillance cameras, automated teller machines and catering service facilities have yet to be installed.
