The regulation is not aimed at managing transport business operations or enabling customers to identify ride-hailing cars on the street as the details of these vehicles, drivers and their phone numbers are already provided to customers through the mobile app to identify their booked cars, according to VCCI. War against plastic waste is a tough one The Saigon Times Daily It looks like local State agencies are determined to embrace a campaign against plastic waste being rampantly dumped across the country, following a call in early June by the Prime Minister to say no to single-use plastic items. However, this will be a long war that can only be won if all-out efforts are mobilized from all walks of life, otherwise it will become a short-lived movement. Last week, HCMC called on all administrative and public service agencies to refrain from using single-use plastics at meetings, conferences, seminars and other events. It has launched a citywide movement running until 2021 to minimize the use of plastic items, even with tough sanctions like refusing to reimburse State agencies using funds to buy single-use plastic products.
