Vihago has launched a transport service app that connects passengers and transport operators – PHOTO: VNA HANOI - Hanoi Innovative Business Incubator of Information Technology and Vihago JSC on March 5 launched a transport service website and a mobile app, called Vihago, to help connect passengers with transport operators. Vihago’s operations are similar to those of ride-hailing service firms, such as Grab, but Vihago will not take part in the pricing policies of and not collect commissions from its transport service provider-partners. Instead, it will charge VND200,000 per vehicle serving 100 passengers per month through the Vihago service. Local telecom carrier Viettel has been licensed to pilot the 5G mobile service in Hanoi and HCMC – PHOTO: THANH HOA HCMC - Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung has signed a decision permitting Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group to pilot a fifth-generation (5G) mobile service in HCMC and Hanoi for one year starting January 22, VnEconomy reported. Accordingly, Viettel becomes the first telecom carrier in the country to be licensed for launching the service on a trial basis, aiming to assess technical functions and the possibility of offering the 5G service on a wider scale, with the pilot scale not exceeding 73 sites in the given cities. HA NOI — Viet Nam has affirmed its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos and protested against China's recent actions concerning the two island groups. "The Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos are inseparable parts of Viet Nam's territory," the Viet Nam Foreign Ministry representative told the Chinese Embassy's representative in Ha Noi. The State Oceanic Administration of China recently released the "2011 China Ocean Development Report", in which it claimed China's sovereignty over the East Sea and the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. The report included maps of China's "U-shaped line" claim on the East Sea, unveiled its plan to explore for oil and gas in the Truong Sa archipelago and launch of tours to the Hoang Sa archipelago. At a meeting on P2P lending on March 6, the deputy prime minister ordered an assessment of the operations of 40 enterprises providing P2P lending services in Vietnam and assigned the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to map out regulations on the risk management of this lending model as well as on inspections and responsibilities of the relevant ministries and agencies.
