Thousands of people joined an anti-Fascist rally in Melbourne on Saturday calling for a stop to Islamophobia in the wake of the New Zealand massacre. Prayers were read and tears shed for the victims during Saturday's event outside Victoria's State Library to stand in solidarity with the Islamic community. While many people are still reeling from Friday's shooting, rally organiser Jasmine Ali told Daily Mail Australia she was very pleased with the turnout on Saturday. SATELLITE BEACH — Each new dot on Stel Bailey and Dan Willemin's map of coastal central Brevard tells a story. Each represents an impacted existence: a life cut short or a life forever changed by illness. Over many months, Bailey and Willemin covered their mapwith 328 dots for 328 cancer cases in Satellite Beach since 2000. Survivors volunteered their diagnoses online, with new cases trickling in daily. Early drafts of the map showed cancers clustered in two distinct "blobs" just south of Patrick Air Force Base. "I started having a lot of people coming forward. I just knew in my gut, 'I'm on to something here,' " said Bailey, a cancer survivor who grew up just north of the base in Cocoa Beach. In a worst-case scenario, Tuesday's passage of Amendment 13 could cost Melbourne Greyhound Park up to $250,000 in annual revenues, said Jim O'Brien, president and chief executive officer. Amendment 13 will prohibit dog racing and wagering in Florida by 2020. Bettors will continue to legally bet on dog races in other states after the ban takes effect. "I wasn't surprised.
