Local authorities to tap central region’s river tourism potential
Danang People's Committee have issued a plan to develop river tourism during the 2019-2021 period. They called for investments into ports, wharves and boats at tourism destinations. At first, they will upgrade Han River Port and Thu Thanh River Port. The city authorities will temporarily let businesses open services like picnics and call for investments to build new tour boats that can cruise overnight in Danang Bay. Son Tra Peninsula will invest in coral reef diving, and tours to traditional villages where tourists can shop and enjoy local food. Dao Dang Cong Trung, director of Danang Ocean Tour said this might be a breakthrough to boost the city's tourism sector and local authorities should have firms with administrative procedures to get permits to build boats more quickly.
