The meeting focussed on reviewing Dương’s responsibility as director of the hospital when the medical incident occurred in May 29. The results of the ballot showed that 88.2 per cent of the voters had agreed to take the disciplinary measure of issuing a warning to Dương and the remaining agreed to other disciplinary measures. Speaking at a meeting yesterday to review health sector activities of the first six months of the year, Dr Nguyễn Tấn Bỉnh, the department’s director, said the aim was to raise trust among local residents in wards and communes. Doctors at local health stations would receive assistance from doctors at district-level hospitals, he said.
