Chairman of the Hà Nội People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Chung addressed concerns over the historical sites in his recent report sent to Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. The report presents a detailed design of the station. The report said the station and the tunnel are not located within the most regulated heritage protection zone. Viet Nam, Cambodia reach accord on common border (23-12-2005) HA NOI — Viet Nam and Cambodia have agreed on a border demarcation masterplan, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agreement includes the installation of border markers as well as regulations for the joint Viet Nam-Cambodia commission on border issues. Documents relating to the agreement set out the legal framework for the on-site border demarcation and installation of markers, expected to be completed by the two countries by the end of 2008. During this week’s three-day meeting in Phnom Penh, Vietnamese and Cambodian delegations also agreed on the historic significance of treaties and agreements signed in the 1980s. Vietnam was ranked fourth in the world for having the most positive consumers, with a Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) score of 122, after India, the Philippines and Indonesia with their respective scores of 133, 131 and 127. Numerous questions have thus surfaced as to why an island can get inundated, and if there is a way for Phu Quoc to become resilient to weather extremes. Last Friday’s precipitation, measured at 358mm, was the highest ever recorded on Phu Quoc in 100 years since weather records were kept, according to the national weather forecasting center.
