The new policy has been issued as only 15 per cent of the university’s lecturers take part in research and international publishing activities. The value of rewards range from VNĐ30 million (US$1,320) to VNĐ200 million ($8,800), with the highest level applied to Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) publications with an impact factor (IF) of more than two points. The committee has asked District 2 authorities to work with Thủ Đức District and District 9 to build an innovative urban area in the eastern part of the city.
