Event promoting pho held in Hanoi By Le Hoang HCMC - The second “Day of Pho (Vietnamese noodle)” was held by Tuoi Tre newspaper and Acecook Vietnam at AEON Mall Long Bien in Hanoi on December 13, with an aim to help boost the dish to the same level of fame as national dishes of other countries such as Italy’s pizza, Japan’s sushi, and Germany’s sausage. With the theme “Honoring Vietnamese Flavor – Journey to the Old Pho ,” the event featured a series of interesting activities such as an exhibition introducing the dish’s 100-year history, discussions on pho , free pho tastings, and an awards ceremony to recognize the outstanding entries of the writing competition “Ky uc ve Pho” (Memories of Pho ). There are 50 photos depicting the beauty of Hanoi in each of the 12 months when a typical type of flower blossoms.
