The accused were among a group of 125 gamblers arrested in a raid on a gambling den in the northern province of Ha Tay, last weekend. The 38 to be charged include both the principal organisers and the security guards for the operation and have since been detained by police. The police apprehended the gamblers red handed while they were playing xoc dia (a dice game), on a remote farm they had hired in Thach That District’s Thach Hoa Commune.
