Investment bank Morgan Stanley calls recent reports of weaker iPhone demand "supply chain noise," and sees the AAPL pullback as a buying opportunity for investors. In a note to investors seen by AppleInsider , analyst Katy Huberty says she agrees with reports of iPhone 12 mini weakness, but adds that the overall demand environment remains positive for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro lineup. For one, she cites reports that Apple is cutting iPhone production to 75 million units in the first half of 2021. Although Huberty admits this has contributed to recent AAPL underperformance, she says the news is "noise rather than anything that impacts the fundamental outlook." Thousands of employees fear job loss on disappearance of Taiwanese boss The Saigon Times Daily Workers gather at Kai Yang Vietnam footwear company, whose Taiwanese employer and experts have been absconding since August 11 – PHOTO: TNO HCMC - Over 2,500 employees of Kai Yang Company, headquartered in Kien An District, Haiphong City, have expressed fear of losing their jobs when the company’s Taiwanese general director and experts disappeared. The workers reported for duty on August 12 but the plant was sealed, with all its assets reclaimed by the bank. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese boss and experts returned to Taiwan without notice. As of noon, the workers were allowed to enter the plant to remove their personal belongings, under the close supervision of security guards and staff members of Southeast Asia Commercial Bank, or SeABank. A concert last Saturday in southern Cần Thơ Province was abruptly interrupted when a woman and several of her friends jumped on stage claiming a gold bar worth approximately US$1,500 had been stolen from her.
