Nguyen Van Huyen, head of the directorate, said that leaders from the Transport Ministry will soon work with authorities in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, where the controversial tollgate is located. The two sides are likely to keep the tollgate at the current site and provide discounts for all kinds of vehicles, he said. Trần Thị Nhỉnh, who raises rabbit and butterfly lizards on an area of 3,000sq.m in Ninh Phước District’s Phước Hải Commune, said she earns VNĐ70 million (US$3,000) a year by selling the lizards for meat and their babies for breeding.
