The Mollywood biggie Jack And Daniel, starring Dileep and 'Action King' Arjun Sarja in the lead, arrived in theatres on November 15, 2019, and opened to a decent response at the box office. Now, merely days after its release, the SLPuram Jayasurya-directed movie has fallen prey to piracy. In an unfortunate development, Jack And Daniel has been leaked online by Tamilrockers and is available for 'free download'. The leaked version is, reportedly, of ordinary quality. The general feeling is, the leak will affect the action-thriller's box office collections and this has ruffled a few feathers. Piracy is a heartless act and we hope the authorities find a permanent solution at the earliest. Meanwhile, here we present before you some of the top tweets about Jack And Daniel. Snehasallapam (SS) @SSTweeps #JackandDaniel Review: Overall a half baked product which failed miserably in satisfying audience. Here’s another gem from The Fast And The Furious tech director Craig Lieberman’sbehind-the-scenes movie treasure trove: How the first F&F’s cars got picked, and more interestingly, how a bunch of eBay beaters were “modified” to look like the hero cars on the cheap. Usually when movie studios make car flicks, Lieberman explains, the studio just buys whatever it wants and mods its actor cars as-needed. But because the first Furious’s budget was lean, Lieberman and company decided to rent tuner cars that were already made, use the good ones for beauty shots, and then use slap-dash knockoffs for stunts. Advertisement As many fans already know, the famous orange Supra that smokes a Ferrari on the Pacific Coast Highway and Vince’s blue Maxima were actually Lieberman’s personal cars. But, of course, he and every other high-end tuner owner weren’t about to let their precious projects get smashed and thrashed for the camera, plus the … [Read more...] about How the First Fast and Furious Movie Made a Ton of Tuner Cars for Very Little Money
Jordan Peele is just getting started. The filmmaker behind Get Out and Us has just signed a new five-year deal at Universal Pictures, which will see him write, direct and produce his next two movies for the studio. It will also see his Monkeypaw Productions company produce original movies, providing other filmmakers a platform to tell their stories. It's said they will focus on " high-level content that transcends genre." With just two movies, Jordan Peele has asserted himself as one of the most bankable, original storytellers in Hollywood. Both Get Out and this year's Us grossed a nearly identical $255 million worldwide, meaning that his two relatively low-budget efforts have brought in more than half a billion dollars for the studio over the past couple of years. As such, it makes every bit of sense that they would want to lock him down for years to come. Universal Films Entertainment Group chairman Donna Langley had this to say in a statement. "Jordan has established himself as a … [Read more...] about Director Jordan Peele Sets Up His Next Two Movies at Universal in a 5-Year Deal
The success of Disney's The Jungle Book, which employs a hybrid of motion capture CGI and live action to bring these characters to life, may have inspired a Broadway sensation to make the leap to the big screen. Les Miserables director Tom Hooper has signed a deal to figure out how to properly turn the hit stage show Cats into a movie. The filmmaker has only signed a research and development deal, meaning the movie isn't set in stone at this point. And even if it does move forward, it won't happen for some time. The Daily Mail reports that Tom Hooper will be working with a development team at Working Title Films, along with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, who crafted the music for the live stage show. If they decide to move forward, nothing will happen on the project until at least late 2017, or early 2018, so we may not see this movie in theaters until 2019 or later. Here's what an executive involved in the project had to say. "Do you somehow use actors, sophisticated puppets, CGI - or … [Read more...] about Cats Movie Musical Moves Forward with Les Miserables Director
Someone has made the Cats trailer even more horrifying than it already was. The new take on the trailer transforms it into a Stephen King movie and it's done way too well. The first trailer for Tom Hooper's big screen adaptation landed during the mania of this year's San Diego Comic-Con and people took notice as the human/feline hybrids took over the superhero conversation for a moment and seriously freaked some people out in a major way. With that being said, the video below is even creepier than the original trailer, so consider yourself warned. Most of the latest horror version of the Cats trailer is made up from the recent remake of Stephen King's Pet Sematary. The footage of both movies works seamlessly as they show terrifying shots of the cats next to the feline wooden statues from the remake. A lot of time and effort went into making this mashup, which is evident after watching the 2-minute clip. Jason Clarke is seen pulling back the curtain to reveal Jason Derulo's CGI cat and … [Read more...] about Cats Movie Goes Full Horror with the Stephen King Mashup Trailer It Deserves
Tom Cruise plays Ethan Hunt in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL, from Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions. Photo: Photo Credit: David James/? 2011 Paramount Pictures. All Rights Reserved. The fourth Mission: Impossible picture, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol opens in IMAX a week before other theaters, and it’s worth a hefty surcharge and even a long drive to see it on the big, big, big screen and let director Brad Bird slam you around for a couple of hours. Bird makes the mighty leap here to live action from modern animation classics like The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille, and I suspect it’s an in-joke (a good one) the way the brave IMF agents wince and quaver and quietly fume on ledges or while hovering over whirling blades or, in one case, 130 stories above the Earth as if they’re in the hands of a prankster god accustomed to maneuvering cartoon characters. Bird’s sense of humor survives intact: The movie is wonderful, … [Read more...] about Movie Review: The Nonsensical, Wonderful
