The MoIT said in a report that since mechanisms on the preferential prices of renewable power have been issued, scores of solar and wind projects have been set up, especially in the south-central coastal provinces of Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Khanh Hoa. This has resulted in the grid being overloaded, and many renewable energy projects could not operate at full capacity. As such, plans to deal with this issue are needed, according to the report.
