The Tây Ninh Province People’s Court on Tuesday sentenced Nguyễn Đắc Tuyên, 41, of Hà Nội to 16 years in jail. Two other men, who conspired with him and abetted him in the criminal acts, Phùng Viết Đông, 38, and Phùng Tuấn Anh, 29, got 14 years apiece. They were charged with smuggling and forging seals and documents of official agencies. According to the indictment by the province People’s Procuracy, on April 20, 2015, law enforcement authorities caught the three in a Lexus RX350 with a fake Cambodian number plate as they were travelling from HCM City to Hà Nội. The virus’ strong immune system enables it to survive for 70 minutes at 56 degrees Celsius; 20 minutes at 70 degrees Celsius; and one minute at 100 degrees Celsius, according to Phung Duc Tien, deputy minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The city government was reported to have dealt with 22 streets that were earlier flooded with rainwater, thereby meeting 59.6% of the targets set for the 2016-2020 period. The authority is also taking steps to tackle 15 more flood-prone streets. Five streets flooded by tides have been blocked from waters, fulfilling 55.5% of the target, while four other routes are being subject to measures against tidal flooding.
