The app, “Phân loại chất thải rắn tại nguồn” (Solid waste classification at source) has been created by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) and the Việt Nam Post and Telecommunications Group. The helpful sorting tool offers users helpful tips on how to separate various types of untreated solid wastes through images, videos and text. Director Bùi Xuân Cư ờng said the department had collaborated with technology firms to integrate the HCM City Traffic Portal with the Zalo app. They can find information about traffic flow, roadblocks, accidents, traffic congestion and current traffic via live images captured by 700 traffic cameras. New public bus routes are inaugurated in the central city of Đà Nẵng, connecting the city’s downtown and eastern areas. The bus route, which took two years of work and total investment of US$2.9 million, will help boost the city’s internal bus services by offering public car parking areas, bus stops and shuttle bus routes connecting residential quarters and public destinations.
