Workers who have kids at nurseries and kindergartens in Tân Thuận Export Processing Zone in District 7 and Tây Bắc Industrial Park in Củ Chi District will be able to send their children to kindergarten at 5:30pm or later. Kindergartens in the two districts extended hours to 5:30pm and to Saturday this academic year, instead of the previous 4pm Monday through Friday. The highway, stretching over 139 km and linking with National Highway No1, cost about US$1.64 billion, of which $798 million was loaned from the Japan International Co-operation Agency and $590 million from the World Bank. The rest is allocated from the State budget. The highway allows speed limits of up to 120km per hour, which helps reduce travel time from Đà Nẵng to Quảng Ngãi to one hour and a half instead of the usual 3 hours using National Highway No1. The carrier will operate two flights a day on each of the three routes. Passengers departing from Haiphong’s Cat Bi International Airport will take two hours to reach HCMC, while the Haiphong-Can Tho flight is two hours and five minutes long. Work on the tunnel No 1 began on January 19 last year with a total cost of VNĐ149.9 billion (US$6.6 million). The tunnel extends from downtown to Củ Chi District and Tây Ninh Province. It is above ground on Trường Chinh Street for a distance of 140m, and on National Highway No 22 for 180m. The two-lane tunnel is 445m long, 9m wide and 4.75m high.
