In the afternoon, the Party Central Committee convened its closing session under the chair of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong. The Party Central Committee agreed to approve the 11th plenary meeting’s Resolution. In his closing speech, Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong said at this plenum, the committee basically agreed with contents and issues presented in draft reports. The draft reports reflected the results of the 10-year implementation of the Platform on national construction in the period of transition to socialism (revised and supplemented in 2011) or Platform 2011 for short, and the socio-economic strategy for 2011-2020, he said. The committee also reviewed the five-year implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and gave many important ideas on major issues and matters, he added. The People’s Committee of Thua Thien-Hue Province has approved the addition of an automotive manufacturing and assembly complex to the province's list of projects calling for investment in 2019. The complex, expected to cost more than VND2.5 trillion (US$107.3 million), will span nearly 50ha at the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone in Phu Loc District. Danang People's Committee have issued a plan to develop river tourism during the 2019-2021 period. They called for investments into ports, wharves and boats at tourism destinations. At first, they will upgrade Han River Port and Thu Thanh River Port. The city authorities will temporarily let businesses open services like picnics and call for investments to build new tour boats that can cruise overnight in Danang Bay. Son Tra Peninsula will invest in coral reef diving, and tours to traditional villages where tourists can shop and enjoy local food. Dao Dang Cong Trung, director of Danang Ocean Tour said this might be a breakthrough to boost the city's tourism sector and local authorities should have firms with administrative procedures to get permits to build boats more quickly.
