Carl Benjamin, the UKIP politician and YouTube star, sat down with Breitbart News last week to discuss a range of topics, including big tech censorship, which he argues is deliberately targeted at Trump supporters. “I think that we’re coming up to the 2020 elections, and I do suspect there’s a great deal of political bias involved here” said the YouTuber and politician, who also goes by the online pseudonym “Sargon of Akkad.”Benjamin, who almost exclusively used YouTube to build an independent following and livelihood, was recently demonetized by the Google-owned platform — all ad revenue on his videos was stripped away, leaving him without his primary source of income. Quivering and hesitant, like a spoon-wielding toddler trying to eat soup without spilling it, the world’s first fruit-picking robot is attempting to harvest a raspberry. After sizing it up for an age, the robot plucks the fruit with its gripping arm and gingerly deposits it into a waiting punnet. The whole process takes about a minute for a single berry. It seems like heavy going for a robot that cost £700,000 to develop but, if all goes to plan, this is the future of fruit-picking. Each robot will be able to pick more than 25,000 raspberries a day, outpacing human workers who manage about 15,000 in an eight-hour shift, according to Fieldwork Robotics, a spinout from the University of Plymouth. YouTube censored ‘Borderless,’ a new documentary about mass immigration from independent filmmaker Lauren Southern, on the day of its release. The feature-length documentary was taken down from YouTube less than 24 hours after it was uploaded, and is currently unavailable. YouTube has yet to give Southern an explanation for its removal.Southern has since uploaded a backup version to YouTube, although the loss of the original is likely to skew the documentary’s view count. Southern’s previous documentary, about the racially-motivated murder of white farmers in South Africa, accumulated over 2.3 million views on the platform. Southern says she received a message from YouTube saying the video had “stopped processing.” But Southern points out that processing errors take place before a video has been uploaded, not after.
