Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyễn Thành Hưng gives a speech at the conference. — VNA/VNS Photo Minh Quyết HÀ NỘI — Digital signatures ensured a high level of security for electronic transactions, according to Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyễn Thành Hưng. Hưng was speaking at a conference held on Friday in Hà Nội to promote the use of digital signatures among different organisations. Themed “Promoting digital signatures at State and social organisations and enterprises”, the conference was held by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the Government’s Cipher Committee. The conference offered information about digital signatures to resolve any difficulties organisations and individuals were facing. Deputy Minister Hưng said that with technological development, digital transactions had become more common among people, enterprises and State organisations. The State and Party have already issued policies and regulations related to digital transactions and signatures. Digital signatures are used to exchange online documents and online administrative services. Major General Nguyễn Đăng Đào, deputy head of the Government’s Cipher Committee, said by last month, nearly 220,000 digital signatures had been supplied for State organisations.
