Adam Quinlan: Recovered from a number of early errors once more to play a vital part in the KR fightback. Came to life in attack as Rovers grew in confidence and once again drew praise from coach Tim Sheens post-match. 8
Ryan Shaw: Couldn’t stop Jy Hitchcox from scoring a further two tries in the second half after switching wings with Elliot Wallis. However was impeccable with the boot and resumed kick-off duties to great effect. 7
Maurice Blair: A couple of mistakes but also determined runs from the back-rower who switched to centres in Liam Salter’s absence. 7
Junior Vaivai: Two more tries to his name completed the fightback for Rovers and the USA international is proving a real find for the Robins in his debut season. Castleford struggled to bring the centre down time and again and he came up with telling plays in offence to help KR win a point. 8 (star man).
Elliot Wallis: Endured a torrid first half as Castleford targeted the young winger. Recovered for a more confident second-half but you couldn’t help but feel for the City of Hull Academy winger. Needs these sort of games for his development however. 6
Matty Marsh: Came up with a couple of last-ditch tackles but didn’t do enough with ball in hand over on the right side. Rovers favoured their left-edge which left Marsh with not many opportunities. 7
Chris Atkin: Much more suited to his usual half-back role and like many others played a big part in the comeback for the draw. Provided the assist for Junior Vaivai’s crucial score. 8
Nick Scruton: A steady show from the prop who seemed to struggle with injury throughout his time on the field. 7
Aaron Smith: Left the pitch in the first half with illness and didn’t return. His minutes on the field haven’t added up yet and the loanee has been unlucky with a number of different problems. 6
Danny Tickle: A good performance from the forward who despite making a couple of errors recovered for a positive display. 7
Joel Tomkins: Starved of possession as previously mentioned due to Rovers favouring the opposite edge but nevertheless an OK debut from the second-rower, and certainly something to build on. 7
James Greenwood: Was withdrawn after sending Junior Vaivai over for his first score just before half-time with concussion. Did well during his time on the field. 7
Chris Clarkson: Drifted in and out of the game but when he got his hands on possession he was strong in attack. 7
SUBS
Mose Masoe: The lift that KR needed from the bench, and scored a pivotal try which helped mount the comeback which gave Rovers the draw. 8
Lee Jewitt: A decent showing on his comeback from injury, Jewitt almost got drawn into handbags on several occasions but maintained his discipline well. 7
Shaun Lunt: Admitted to being sore after the match, Lunt was also patchy at times but his presence certainly settled KR down and gave his team direction. 7
James Donaldson: Got his hands on the ball plenty of times and was a strong point of the KR team. 7
